CleanUp Kitsune (ki-tsu-ne) is an award‐winning environmental brand that inspires waste awareness and everyday kindness through the whimsical adventures of earth-friendly yokai. Cleanup Kitsune sponsors events, parks, nonprofits and schools, educating on waste and litter awareness while assisting in the transition of sustainable, single-use alternatives, collecting trash and littering kindness.
Cleanup Kitsune is a pair gentle fox spirits named Misaki & Kazeo. They promote sustainability and naturalist perspectives while sharing Japanese traditions, philosophies and folklore. Follow their journey as they learn about the responsibilities of humanity and discover how they help humans and yokai along the way.

Classroom Pilot Program
CleanUp Kitsune launched their Classroom Pilot Program in May 2026, in partnership with with Connect The World at Crown Point Junior Music Academy in San Diego.
The five day waste and environmental education program teaches kids ages 2nd-5th grade about the magnificence of nature and our responsibility to it. Our program is exceptionally impactful as it pairs education with the power of storytelling and Kamishibai, including a campus cleanup with Cleanup Kitsune themselves.

THE STORY OF CLEANUP KITSUNE
On one blissful day in the Spirit Realm, Kazeo’s life is saved by a spirit of the wind, leaving him in the wind’s debt. Receiving blame by the humans for littering the Earthern Realm, the wind has no choice but to help cleanup the place in order to clear it’s name. However, the sly and silly but wonderful wind, tasks Kazeo with the job.
Maintaining a strong love for the humans, Misaki assists Kazeo in the Earthern Realm and shows how cleaning is but one part of the puzzle in preventing trash from piling up. We must use kindness in order to create connection to each other, to the earth and to ourselves. Only then shall Misaki, Kazeo and friends overcome the careless.
